How FreeFinancials handles data, cookies, and ads.

No login, no paywall — this page explains what we collect, what we don’t, how ads and analytics work, and how you can control your data.

Privacy Policy

  1. 1. Who we are

FreeFinancials LLC (“FreeFinancials”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates FreeFinancials.com and related subdomains such as Insiders and About pages (collectively, the “Service”).

  2. 2. What we do not collect

You can use FreeFinancials without creating an account. We do not ask you to provide:

    • Names or mailing addresses
    • Email addresses (except when you email us directly)
    • Payment or credit card information
  3. 3. Information we collect automatically

When you browse the site, some technical information is automatically collected by our servers and by service providers (such as analytics and advertising partners). This may include:

    • IP address and approximate region or city
    • Browser type, language, and version
    • Device type and operating system
    • Pages viewed, clicks, referring/exit pages, and timestamps
    • Basic error and performance data (to keep the site reliable and secure)

We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the Service (for example, capacity planning, abuse detection, and understanding which pages people find useful).

  4. 4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) for:

    • Essential functions — remembering your basic UI preferences and settings.
    • Analytics — understanding aggregated usage patterns (e.g., which pages are popular).
    • Advertising — showing ads and measuring ad performance.

Some of these cookies are set by us (“first-party cookies”) and some are set by our partners (“third-party cookies”) when their code runs on the page.

  5. 5. Google AdSense and advertising partners

We display advertising supplied by Google AdSense and may also use other ad networks. These partners use cookies and similar identifiers in order to show ads and measure their results.

    In particular:

    • Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads that are related to a visitor’s previous visits to this or other websites.
    • Google’s advertising cookies help Google and its partners show ads based on your visit to FreeFinancials and/or other sites on the internet.
    • These cookies may also be used to limit how often you see an ad and to report aggregated statistics to advertisers.

You can learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites .

  6. 6. How to control personalized ads (AdSense opt-outs)

    Google controls

    Industry-wide opt-out tools

“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” (California-style disclosure).
Some privacy laws consider the use of third-party advertising cookies and similar technologies for cross-site personalized ads to be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal data in the sense of exchanging it for money, but we do allow ad partners to collect certain information via our site.

To limit this type of ad personalization by Google, you can adjust your settings here: Manage Google ad personalization .

  7. 7. Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand aggregate usage of FreeFinancials (for example, anonymized pageview counts or referring domains). Analytics data is used only to improve site reliability, performance, and design.

  8. 8. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or a region with similar data-protection rules, we rely on the following legal bases to process personal data:

    • Legitimate interests — running a stable, secure, and useful financial-data site.
    • Consent — for non-essential cookies or personalized advertising where local law requires explicit consent (typically gathered via a cookie or consent banner).
    • Compliance with law — when we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable laws.
  9. 9. Data retention

Server logs used for security and reliability are typically kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Non-identifiable aggregate analytics may be kept longer for trend analysis.

  10. 10. Children’s privacy

FreeFinancials is intended for use by adults and older students interested in financial statements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our content is not aimed at children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

  11. 11. Your choices and rights

    • You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Doing so may affect some site features, but the core financial data should remain accessible.
    • You can opt out of personalized advertising via the Google tools and industry tools listed above.
    • If you contact us by email, you may request that we delete your message and any associated logs, except where we are legally required to retain records (for example, fraud or abuse investigations).
  12. 12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the changes are significant, we may highlight them on this page or in a banner. The “Last updated” date at the top will always show the current version.

This page is intended to explain our practices in plain language and does not constitute legal advice.
